Simple but effective pro tips
- Always, always, always (!!!) make sure your hands are clean before touching your face. So starting your skincare routine, starts with clean hands.
- Use lukewarm water to rinse your skin.
- Use a fresh & clean towel to dry your face.
- Hydrate! Hydrating starts with drinking enough water. If you don’t hydrate properly, this will have an effect on how your skin looks. (and overall on your health)
- Go easy on sugar. While the sweet stuff may taste delicious, it can cause some serious problems to your skin. An overload of sugar can cause inflammation within the body. So if you have acne spots, the sugar certainly won’t do you any good.
- Avoid smoking
- Use sunscreen
- Eat fruit & vegetables
- Change your sheets, and most importantly your pillowcase, regularly
- Don’t use old beauty products & clean your brushes!
- Don’t use make-up wipes
- Do not pop your pimples! If you really can’t stand it, go see a professional beautician for a facial treatment.
- If your acne is very extreme and none of these tips seem to make a difference, we strongly advise to consult a dermatologist.
